I had been somewhat organizing my room somewhat. I don't have a lot of time to actually organize it but when I find some time to do it I work on it of course to music or a random movie playing in the background. Yesterday I was going through some old papers and shredding what I do not need or just don't want anymore. As I was looking through some papers I found an old essay that I had written for a class in college. Note it has been many years since I was last in school and since then my writing skills have been ......well... yeah they have been going bad since then. The paper I found that I know I basically wrote without any effort since there were other classes that were more important than academic writing. I read through the paper which is a rough draft and realized how much my writing has changed. That essay was a rough draft and it has so many corrections but I have read and seen that my way of writing now is lacking. For me to see how much it has changed it is a bit appalling.
Hahaha how things change when you are out of school. I probably need to start writing and reading more. That paper wasn't the best but it brought back some nice memories of school. School had its fun moments.

helped me to keep me up during those long nights working on class projects. Loved The Killers then love The Killers now.
The long anticipated movie of Jurassic World finally came out. Who doesn't love the first Jurassic Park that came out in 1993. I as well as many fans had been waiting for years for this Jurassic Epic to restart. I have to say it did not disappoint. I was super excited when it was announced that it was going to come out this year and it finally did. The raptors were cute and scary at the same time. The T-Rex of course never fails to show why he is the king, pterodactyls have complete traumatized these were no pink ranger power. This new hybrid dinosaur makes you want a 60 inch acrylic barrier (if that is even remotely possible to make for protection) with barbed wire an electrified fence and invisibility shield. That water dinosaur makes you want to never go to Sea World again. Shamu will never be the same. 3D did not help watching the movie it just kept making me jump like a frog in my seat. Oh how I hate 3D. It is a must see movie. Oh Chris Pratt you are awesome thank you for being the raptor whisperer that couldn't be more awesome.

Wow I have have been really bad at keeping my blog updated. I had become very discouraged and depressed last year after developing carpal tunnel last year. I stopped doodling and would hardly use the computer and reall I even forgot I had a log. I spent several months in great pain but it has finally gotten a bit better. I have come to terms with carpal tunnel and accepted it. I ask why though why do these types of hindrances exist. A lot of things have happend in is past year and somehow wheen it comes to writing about it I forget haha. I sound like a broken record but hopefully this time around I do keep up with this blog even if obody reads it. I really change the look of it this maroon color is really not working for me anymore haha. I haven't been here for so long that I forgot how to edit it. I will take my time to edit it and make it more fun looking. Look forward to my future post. I will hopefully post something tomorrow about Hello Kitty adventures with Viciously Sweet. Hello Kitty never gets old. I have downloaded the app for my phone so I can post entries when i have some free time when I am the dialysis center with my mom. look forward to my post :D

Craziness all around. Despite saying I was going to draw more I have not been able draw often but I have done some drawings. I should really date my drawings though I don't know when I drew some of these. They are a incomplete but seems it is becoming easier
I have also been correcting some of my old drawings so I can scan them and color them on photoshop
I have several other projects on the works but they will take me a while to finish them.
The older you get the more responsibilities you gain. Life is easier the younger you are. Well even things become more difficult to accomplish there is still no excuse to give up.
By the end of the week I'll have more drawings and I'll be caught up. I will make sure that the pictures of the next drawings don't have a shadow casted over them
Yep I didn't post anything in the last 3 weeks. I have been extra busy
There were so many appointments that I had to go to on top of my volunteer work on Fridays and going to dialysis with my mom on Tuesdays Thursdays and Saturdays. The days that there were no appointments I had to catch up with errands. It was an exhausting month. The little time I had to myself I didn't really want to do anything. This is why I didn't post anything.
This is what my schedule really looked like.
During this crazy month of February I did manage to escape and have a day to myself.
I enjoyed a day at the Page Museum and ate a little cafe that I had wanted to eat at for a little over a year. Wow was it nice to enjoy a day to myself.
Now that this month seems to be less hectic thus far I'll be able to post more.
I've never been a fan of football. I've been a football cheerleader in high school but didn't take a liking to the sport. Despite not really caring for this sport I watch the Super Bowl every year I guess I get sucked up in the excitement I see in people. This is probably the first year I was a little excited for the game I even picked a team. This year the Super Bowl was like a holiday to me. I stayed in bed half of the day watching movies, made a festive dinner (well kinda baked or fried chicken is festive to me), watched the Super Bowl, rooted for the Sea Hawks, watched the commercials and watched more movies after the Super Bowl
The night before I prepared my variety of movies but this was all I got to watch.
I was trying to keep my food as healthy as possible I baked my food but I threw in my chips sour cream and soda and that threw everything off. It's ok it's practically a holiday right!!! Lol
The Sea Hawks won YAY!!! I should have made a bet with someone. Wow was that game interesting you can almost feel bad for the Broncos... Almost...
Over all Super Bowl Sunday was a good day. Hooray for Super Bowl Sunday.
I forgot to post my sketches on Saturday. I did not forget to draw but still didn't get to sketch much. Here aresomeof the ones I drew.
Despite not drawing much it seems there might be little improvement.
I started to draw in charcoal a bit. This sketch is a work in progress. Right now I'm into drawing flowers. I really like drawing with charcoal it has been my favorite medium. I want to other mediums again but it will have to wait until I have mastered drawing with pencil or at least improved more.

Just doesn't seem possible. The theory of macro evolution seems a bit far fetched.
That is all I have to say for today. I can't get into details about macro evolution because I know too little about it.
I had an 1 hr and a half conversation who was at the science center basically a non believer if Isaac Newton theory of gravity and Darwin's theory of evolution. I believe in both Newton and Darwin. I guess there are still people who don't believe in that this day in age 0.0
This person really shouldn't have gone to the science center half of the museum deals with evolution. All his opinions were based on what he had learned on the internet. The internet is full of non researched articles based on opinions. Oh people the internet isn't always the best place to learn things.
I have not been able to draw much this week I have been rather busy. This week has been rather eventful I have even busy during the evening hours. I was not able to draw as much as I wanted but I still managed to squeeze in some quick drawings. Next week I'll will draw some more.

It shall begin! I will challenge myself I will not get better if I don't practice.
I like to draw and the career that I studied is based on drawing. I do not want to animate per say but I do want to be part of the creative side of it. I have not given up on the idea of working in a studio one day. Things don't always go the way you plan them but just because there are bumps in the road that temporarily obstruct your path all you have to do is find a way around them and get back on the path.
I have been drawing but not as regularly as I should. I do not work (I really wish I did) but I take care of my mom who has many needs. I am really busy despite the fact that I don't work between going to dialysis with my mom, taking her to appointments helping her with things she can't really do which is basically 85% of the things, taking care of daily house duties and running errands I don't really have time to myself.
I do draw but not as I used to. I honestly probably draw sadly once a month. Lately I have forced myself to drop what I'm doing at since there housework is never ending and just starting to do things that I want to do. I have made a schedule and so far it has been working.
I have started drawing regularly but I have to say I am rusty and that is frustrating. I have been having a hard time drawing since basically I have had to start from the beginning. I have decided that I will post my drawings once a week on here just to keep myself on check. Even if they are horrible looking drawings. I am hoping that halfway through the year I'll be back to where I was or even better. I have a lot of ideas that I want to draw on paper but because of the lack of skills I have not.

I've said before I like watching Korean dramas. I don't really have time to watch dramas at home. While I am at the dialysis center I watch them there. For a couple of years now I have been a fan of a Korean singer named Kim Hyun Joong. I'll watch anything that he is in regardless if it's good or bad. This time around he has come out in a drama called Inspiring Generation.
Inspiring Generation premiered this week. I have watched the first episode and I have to say it's pretty good. I have been hooked on the 1st episode. The drama's main character is Jung Tae (Kim Hyun Joong). This episode starts of with Jung Tae fighting in a public fight. Jung Tae is a fighter for pay.
Jung Tae wins the fight and with his winnings he goes to a bar to drink. As he drinks the female bar tender talks to him and you can see in Jung Tae's face that he isn't fighting because he likes it. Jung Tae's seems to have some reason that has taken to the path of being a fighter.
The man that he fought in the fight walks into the bar to pick a fight and Jung Tae walks away. As soon as he begins to walk out the other fighter grabs the bar tender. Jung Tae turns around and says that he hates men hitting women.
Another seen begins and it's 8 years earlier.
8 years earlier Jung Tae is still fighting but it is a happier time. Jung Tae works, laughs and takes care of his sister. Jung Tae's sister is very sick and he works hard to earn money in order to save up for an operation his sister needs. Jung Tae wears worn out clothes and shoes with holes and buys the cheapest thing he can find to eat all to be able to save the money. One day his friend tells him about a dirty deal that has to do with smuggling. At first Jung Tae does not want any part of it but later gives in to the temptation. Jung Tae gives all his savings to his friend and gives it to one of the members of the gang in charge. Jung Tae's friend comes running to Jung Tae and tells him that they were scammed and the money was lost.
He goes running looking for the gang to ask for his money back and he tries to fight them.
This was a brief recap which I really wasn't planning to do haha I got into it. I am sure this drama will only get better. It began well hopefully it continues like this. After seeing this episode I have high expectations.

Since I was a kid, I have always liked to learn about the supernatural even if they scared me. As an adult I still find it fascinating learning about poltergeist and and folk legends. Yesterday I was remembering some of the stories that my dad and brother told me as a kid about their experiences with the supernatural in Guatemala. There are many situations both my dad and brother encountered with things that till this day there seems to be no other explanation. Well, there probably is another explanation maybe a more logical one but it would just take the fun out of it.
There is a mythical creature that I remembered my family talking about called a cadejo. A cadejo is a spirit that appears most of the time in form of a dog. There are two colored cadejos there are white ones and black ones. Depending as well from what country you have heard the legend from the white one will be the good one and the black one will be the black one and vise versa. This legend originates in Central America. In Guatemala it is said that a black cadejo appears to a person to guide you home safely.
When my dad used to live in Guatemala he sometimes had to go home at night. In those times the area where my dad lived there were no street lights and basically he lived in a area that where there was more land than homes. He had told me that the cadejo appeared to him many times to help him get home safely. My brother as well had encountered the cadejo and even changed his size to carry him home because he couldn't do it on his own since he had drank too much that one night.
If you google cadejo you will find several variations of the cadejo legend. It is quite an interesting read.

It has started 2014. We are on the second day of the year.
2013 is gone but it left me with many memories and lessons learned. I am as well one year older and one year wiser. I managed to keep some of my year resolutions.
We are in a new year I have as well made a new list of resolutions a shorter list.
Resolutions of 2014
1. Draw more
2. Get into shape (was doing well last year but injured myself and could do much for more than half the year)
3. Be more positive
4. Don't let my insecurities hold me back
5. Don't allow others to hold me back
6. Get a part-time job
7. Succeed
I'll update my blog more often since I finally entered into the current century in my phone. I finally got a smartphone and an iPhone indeed. Oh the many accessories I can buy for it. I got sidetrack for a bit there. With my phone I downloaded the blogger app and I will be able to post while I sit with my mom when she gets dialyzed.
Oh smartphone accessories lol how I am a gadget lover.

Since I was young I pondered the idea about soulmates to be exact it was when I watched Dawson's Creek. Joey and Dawson always said that they were soulmates even if it didn't mean they would end up in a romantic relationship in the end. They knew that no matter what they were linked together by some unknown force which made them perfect for each other. A harmonious balance between the two. Since this concept was introduced to me since 1998 I have not yet decided whether to believe the idea or not. It is a nice idea I might say to have someone who completely balances you out. There are many people we meet that and we develop great lasting relationships that may last a lifetime. It could be one person or it could be multiple people would that make all of them your soulmates?
Most explanations of a soulmate say that you know you have met your match as soon as you meet the other person because you feel the spark. Isn't that just called attraction? I have felt sparks many times in my life of course but they fade I wouldn't call that finding my soulmate.
I mostly think that the reality is that if you have common interest, values, and work on the relationship that is when it can last a lifetime. The time and care you put into the relationship is the key of how you end up even knowing what the other person is thinking (not all the time but for the most part). And if many marriages in which they are soulmates wouldn't be easily be dissolved then.
It is a romantic idea but seems to have many flaws. We do not really have proof if indeed soulmates exist. It is probably just one of those things you leave to fate.
Just a random thought that came to my head while remembering the show Dawson's Creek that brings back memories of when I was a kid :)

Every end of the year before the ball drops for the new year there are silly superstitious traditions that many do every year and I am no exception to that. In my family we don't take these traditions lightly. I would say I am not a believer in these superstitions and I do em for fun but it seems since we have been doing them for so long that I somehow to an extent I believe em a bit. There are so many superstitions that if you do all of even you end up looking a bit ridiculous and seem you have lost your mind hahaha. I got to say being Hispanic on New Year's is a lot of fun.
What are the things that we do in my family every New Year's here is a list :p
1. Wear red underwear....well me ( red underwear for love and yellow for money)
2. Wear red and gold clothing for health and prosperity
3. throw water out of the window ( I don't remember for what)
4. Pack a suitcase and walk around the house carrying it ( technically it has to be around the block I believe so you may travel during the year)
5. Fill the fruit basket with different types of fruit (this is so you always have an abundance of food)
6. Eat 12 grapes 1 for each stroke at midnight and ask for a wish for each grape (apparently in some traditions its within the 1st 12 minutes of the new year)
7. Write resolutions on a pink sheet of paper ( this is so you get to accomplish all your resolutions)
New Year's is not the same without doing these things it actually feels wrong not to do them. Hehehe it doesn't hurt to try these things out you never know it might work.
I should have looked up more new year's traditions online before midnight last night but it didn't cross my mind but I have it booked marked for next year. If anyone is willing to try any of of these traditions out you can look em up online. New Year's traditions in this link you can find more of the rituals that are done to have a good year ahead from love to money.
Whether you believe these things or not basically the bottom line is being positive and working on achieving what you want is the key to getting it.

2012 finally ending and so many things have happened this year. For me this year has been more balanced with both good and bad unlike last year.
First, I must say I am grateful for all the good and the bad things that have happened this year. The bad has taught new lessons and shown me how strong I can be. These bitter events have made me mature more and taught me to make better decisions. Second, I am grateful for the people have continued to stay in my life. I say thank you to my friends and family who have continued to stay with me through the good and the bad. They have given me great memories this year that helped me bare with the bad ones. Memories that have helped me to keep me sane. I have greatly enjoyed the time I have spent with all. Third, I am grateful for the people that I have met this year whether it was a brief meeting or see them on a regular basis. You have made an impact in my life in some way. Many of these meetings even if they were brief have given me a moment to smile and something to think about. I say thank you. Fourth, I am grateful for all the fun things I got to do this year some of of these things have been probably a thing of once in a lifetime. I am grateful for being able to share some of these events well majority of these events with people I care about greatly. This year I got to see the space shuttle Endeavor passing by in the streets, had lunch at the exclusive restaurant 33 in Disneyland, seen so many of the artist that I like, got to see the Midnight showing of Batman The Dark Knight Rises, going on a mini hike to Malibu Creek, attending Evander Holyfield's birthday party and many other things. I have great memories of these events which bring a smile to my face every time I think about them.
Fifth, my health. What can I really say I am glad that even despite I gotten sick a couple of times and this bothersome acid reflux that bothers me a bit often, I have had good health. I am grateful to have my health. Sixth and last but most important, my family. I am grateful we are still together that despite my mom's chronic illnesses that make her have to be in the hospital often I am glad she still continues fighting. I hope we continue to stay together united even if we take different paths that we keep in touch always.

2012 will soon be gone forever but not quite yet. There are still 2 days and about 2 hours left. A lot of things have happened this year it has a been an eventful year for me. It is not time yet for me to bid my farewells to the year nor say what I am grateful for i will leave that to another post :)
I had said that I was going to post more often but things got in the way in these past few weeks that prevented me from being able to clearly think of what to post. My mom had to be taken to the hospital and had back surgery which had the whole family quite worried. She is recovering right now and has to be away from home for a couple of weeks. This was the 1st Christmas that she spent away from home and this will be the 1st New Year she will not be home either. It will be okay as long as she recovers.
Things keep getting delayed but as long as I keep at it they will be done sooner or later.
2 days left for the year to end I have to get my resolutions in order and get ready for the New Year. I say that 2013 will be a better year than 2012 :)
Terrible tragedies have happened this year the theater massacre and the shooting of all those innocent children in the elementary. My prayers go to the families it is not fair that innocent people have to die when they have done nothing wrong.
Changing the subject on a lighter note I can say I am grateful to this year 2012 has been eventful.
