2012 Part 1 Being Grateful

2012 finally ending and so many things have happened this year.  For me this year has been more balanced with both good and bad unlike last year.

First, I must say I am grateful for all the good and the bad things that have happened this year.  The bad has taught new lessons and shown me how strong I can be.  These bitter events have made me mature more and taught me to make better decisions.
Second, I am grateful for the people have continued to stay in my life.  I say thank you to my friends and family who have continued to stay with me through the good and the bad.  They have given me great memories this year that helped me bare with the bad ones.  Memories that have helped me to keep me sane.  I have greatly enjoyed the time I have spent with all.
Third, I am grateful for the people that I have met this year whether it was a brief meeting or see them on a regular basis.  You have made an impact in my life in some way.   Many of these meetings even if they were brief have given me a moment to smile and something to think about.  I say thank you.
Fourth, I am grateful for all the fun things I got to do this year some of of these things have been probably a thing of once in a lifetime.  I am grateful for being able to share some of these events well majority of these events with people I care about greatly.  This year I got to see the space shuttle Endeavor passing by in the streets, had lunch at the exclusive restaurant 33 in Disneyland, seen so many of the artist that I like, got to see the Midnight showing of Batman The Dark Knight Rises, going on a mini hike to Malibu Creek, attending Evander Holyfield's birthday party and many other things.  I have great memories of these events which bring a smile to my face every time I think about them.

 Fifth,  my health.  What can I really say I am glad that even despite I gotten sick a couple of times and this bothersome acid reflux that bothers me a bit often, I have had good health.   I am grateful to have my health.
Sixth and last but most important, my family.  I am grateful we are still together that despite my mom's chronic illnesses that make her have to be in the hospital often I am glad she still continues fighting.  I hope we continue to stay together united even if we take different paths that we keep in touch always.

Almost 2013 but not quite

2012 will soon be gone forever but not quite yet.  There are still 2 days and about 2 hours left. A lot of things have happened this year it has a been an eventful year for me.  It is not time yet for me to bid my farewells to the year nor say what I am grateful for i will leave that to another post :)
I had said that I was going to post more often but things got in the way in these past few weeks that prevented me from being able to clearly think of what to post.  My mom had to be taken to the hospital and had back surgery which had the whole family quite worried.  She is recovering right now and has to be away from home for a couple of weeks.  This was the 1st Christmas that she spent away from home and this will be the 1st New Year she will not be home either.  It will be okay as long as she recovers. 
Things keep getting delayed but as long as I keep at it they will be done sooner or later.
2 days left for the year to end I have to get my resolutions in order and get ready for the New Year.  I say that 2013 will be a better year than 2012 :)
Terrible tragedies have happened this year the theater massacre and the shooting of all those innocent children in the elementary.  My prayers go to the families it is not fair that innocent people have to die when they have done nothing wrong.
Changing the subject on a lighter note  I can say I am grateful to this year 2012 has been eventful.

Le Holidays Ho Ho Ho

This the holiday season one of the busiest holidays especially for women.  Those holiday dinners are sure elaborate and really time consuming.  I really have never really liked Christmas.  Well I like certain elements of Christmas but not every part of it.  The holidays that I love the most are Halloween and St. Patrick's Day (and its for the wearing green not entirely because of the alcohol :p)

Right now I a working on a Christmas card to send out to my family and friends.  It took me a while for me to come up with the idea now its making the time for it to actually finish it on time to be able to send them out.  Oh yes I had forgotten I need color ink to be able to print them.  I have an idea if I don't get to buy color ink but then I need to buy a different kind of paper.  Oh dear i really do hope I get to finish on time because I want to send one to a friend who lives over seas in South Korea to be more exact. 
I am Hispanic so along with being Hispanic comes the traditional Christmas food we create.  I have to make some tamales of different kinds and from two different countries since I come from parents of two different countries Guatemala and Mexico.  When we make tamales we make quite a few tamales we use about 15lbs of masa and it makes roughly about 300 tamales.  Along with making the tamales you either make champurrado or fruit punch.  In my family we make fruit punch which is much more complicated than champurrado.   When Hispanics make fruit punch it is not the type you buy from the store it is a punch that include may ingredients and of top of that they are hard to find.  The Hispanic fruit punch contains actual pieces of fruit in it and it is a warm drink which you can add alcohol if you wish. 
Well this year will be the first year I make all this by myself well i think my bro is going to help me a bit.  Every year since I was child I had helped my mom make these things but not this year.  My mom's health is poor and since its tradition it is my turn to make em.  I really hope it all turns out well. No....Indeed everything will turn out well :D
I still need to decorate for Christmas too we just bought the tree and one of these days I will do it I just have been too busy to do it but for sure this weekend I will.
I guess I do like Christmas more than I think despite all the work.

Madness!

AAAHHH! lol I feel frustrated I have been trying to draw I love figure drawing and I haven't done it in a while.  I started once again today using a book I have from a Museum that has some photographs of what looks to be Greek statues and boy am I rusty.  In a couple of days or weeks I will eventually start getting back on the right track.  I got to say that I do feel jealous of some of the people I know that are where they want to be.  Who I have seen the progress they have made throughout the years.   At some point I had made a lot of progress but since I stopped because of insecurities and lack of time I have since started and stopped like a car stalling.  It is only my fault for letting those insecurities take over me but right now I am trying my best I will get there.  Where there is a will there is a a way!  I need to as well not let what some people who are negative to tell me otherwise.   People who tell you that you can't achieve certain goals or tell you how to live your life are just bitter.  These people are people that have given up on their dreams just because something has gotten in the way.
I have confidence :D

You say what about body language?!

I have to say the study of human behavior Psychology can be very interesting.  A cweouple of days ago well possibly like two days ago I saw on the Steve Harvey show about the body language of women and oit made me curious to look more into body language.  Well basically I mostly just found the most popular body language questions people ask good enough I guess.  What I found was how women act when they are attracted to a  man, how men act when they are attracted to a woman and how to tell when someone is lying.
I'm sure many get curious about this and so I shall post the links up if you get curious to know

Remembering HS

Eeek Next  year it will be my 10th hs reunion.  Time flew by a little quickly well some of the years.  Though it has been almost 10 years I am blessed to still pull of pretending to be 18 hahaha.  Today was the 1st day of fall cleaning for many its spring cleaning for me my cleaning time is during the fall.  Anyways while I was cleaning I found my hs prom cd where it had some of the song that were played at prom and were popular during that time (in reality not only were songs were popular during that time but it was mostly what the girls organizing prom liked....I highly doubt my class liked A Teens... it was either hip hop or rock)
HS for me was good I was bullied and I was an odd ball but I was not alone I had my odd ball friends ho I had fun with.

So basically this sums up hs for me

• Clubs and student government
• Backstreet Boys
• Library (was the hang out place ^_^ even became friends with the librarian)
• Lord Of the Rings
• Cheerleader (only for my jr year)
• being geeky all the time
• being a writer for Dispatch Magazine (junior and senior year)
• Retreats
• listening to rock music
• working to go to Loyola Marymount University
• finally learning about myself

HS to I guess aside from a bit of bullying it was good I managed to be involved in many things that I ended it up loving to do.  I went to n all girl school which to many girls it something that they don't want  but to me i actually chose to go to one. 

hahaha my biggest obsession in hs was Lord of the Rings wow did I love the story and still do i still think its one of the best stories that was made into film.

Because I was a cheerleader (over it after i tried it) this was also one of my favorite movies but in comparison to LOTR it was nowhere close

My fandom for Backstreet Boys followed me from junior high into hs but did not survive to college haha

Just Because I'm Back a Second Entry

I've been away from blogger for a long time man I need more followers haha I have not advertised it much.  Now that I am back I shall try to update it as much as I can.  Since the last time before these now 3 entries I have had a hard time a lot of things have happened that have partially prevented me from updating.  My life changed drastically after my mom go sick and my life did a 180.  These things are part of life and we can't prevent them life doesn't always turn out the way you want but you have to try your best to try to get it as close to where you want it to be but of course it would be awesome to achieve your goal the way you want it.  I feel as if I am rambling hahahaha...it is my blog so I can ramble as much as I want ^_^
Anyways I have been away for the past 2 years because I have been in an emotional roller coaster, a rut, and lack motivation for many things.  I have restarted my blog again because of  this little lady Viciously Sweet and as well that I had fun writing it despite it being silly things.  Those silly things bring a smile to my face but I won't just write silly things.  I am two years older than I was the last time I posted I shall write about serious subjects too ....when I feel like it :p
In two years people can change a lot.  Thanks to the help of my close friends and a new addition someone new I met within these time period, I have kept sane.  I love these people greatly and thank them from the bottom of my heart.
 That new addition became someone very special to me not only as a friend but in the romantic.  A person who in many many aspects is almost the complete opposite of me.  In the romantic sense this is one of those things that gets complicated and not meant to be regarding the circumstances and wished it was different but one day it will be a nice memory.  Aside from that this person has been one of the people who have given me some sort of peace, friendship, silly times, and someone who has made me look forward to something else a distraction from what I am currently surrounded with. 
I wish all my loved ones great happiness.
I hope I continue to grow as a person and finally get to make awesome doodles cause I am super rusty.  Little by little I am finally making for time for me to be able to continue on with my life so its going a little slow but I will get there.  Mew Ventures your debut is soon approaching.  So far its going well on schedule now all I have to do is remember the log in and we shall be closer to the day.

here is my board of goals which needs to be updated now that I finally know what to add on the other side hahaha.  The right side is where my short term goals will be.  Once I tackle those 1st I will be able to finally go and tackle the bigger goals.

One of the 1st sorta short term goals is to get me a new car....well a used car I have no car right now :(
so hopefully I can get me one of these

 

seems not that getting a car is becoming more of a posibility finally.  Well it might be a little premature t think that way but must keep a positve mind and keep working for it :)

Mineral Mystery

They say curiosity kills the cat....well I'm not a cat and I am very curious.  When I get curious about something I normally don't stop till I find out.

So here it goes.....

I went to Malibu Creek State Park on the 13th ...a nice place to go hike at.

As I hiked along looking and taking in all the scenery one thing greatly called my attention something that I really wanted to find out what it was.

I found a mineral and since this past Tuesday I have been wondering what kind of mineral it is.  hahaha yes I sometimes obssess over random things that I want to know what they are.  I have looked online I have posted on twitter asking and no one has responded yet :p
It would be totally awesome if someone would tell me what kind of mineral it is.

The king of minerals as well wants to know what he is he has sought o know his real identity j/k I was just bored and played with the pic of it on my phone.
